HELP US, TO HELP SUPPORT RADIO LOLLIPOP

We are proud to financially support this wonderful facility.
WHAT IS RADIO LOLLIPOP?
Radio Lollipop is an International charity providing play & entertainment services in the wards of children's hospitals throughout the UK, USA, Australia & New Zealand. Each Radio Lollipop is run entirely by volunteers who give a regular weekly commitment to undertake play with children. Music, fun, competitions, jokes and laughter are broadcast to all the children at Starship hospital from the Radio Lollipop studio. Children take part in programmes by making requests, visiting the studio, or by using telephones connected straight to the DJ's.
At Kidz First and the Manukau Super Clinic, the Radio Lollipop concept has been expanded to assist children who have long waits at day clinics. Children with appointments register at their clinic but are able to spend their waiting time constructively at Radio Lollipop with the trained volunteers.
Radio Lollipop is supported entirely through donations. Progress to other hospitals is dependent upon public support and the goodwill of a hard working team of volunteers, including the planners and hospital system negotiators. The event of each new Radio Lollipop involves several years of planning in order to operate within the rules and regulations of a hospital system and particularly among children within the system. Radio Lollipop helps enhance well being for speedy recovery. It makes kids laugh but also helps them to heal. When they laugh they forget their pain. Radio Lollipop volunteers also dress in Radio Lollipop uniforms, and visit the wards in the early evening, before the wards settle down for the night. The kids eyes light up because "Radio Lollipop people mean fun......not needles!" Your assistance will help to keep current programmes alive and new ones under negotiation.
Your kind donation would be most welcome
