Plant care
Bromeliads are relatively pest and disease free. Keep the central cup full of water except when the plant is flowering. High humidity and good air circulation are important to ensure a healthy plant. Bright light is best but avoid full sun. Only use half strength fertilizer so as not to burn the leaves.

Striking tropical plant with thick leaves, colourful foliage and an attractive flowers which can last for up to three months.
Placement
Bromeliads like to be warm so during winter it is preferred to keep them inside or outside in a frost free environment. In summer Bromeliads can be added to the landscape for a shady garden alternative.
History
Bromeliads grow throughout southern part of the USA, through Mexico and Central
America and most of South America.
